On behalf of a Croatian cookie manufacturer, Vimco implemented a solution incorporating Bizerba weighing and inspection technology.

Food safety and easy traceability

Vimco worked on the behalf of a food producer which placed great importance on high throughput and optimal food safety through automated contamination detection. FPV and BRC compliance were mandatory. Networking and centralisation should simultaneously ensure full data transparency and quick, easy traceability of each individual package.

Solution

Meticulous planning, rapid implementation

By integrating the Bizerba systems, Vimco implemented a networked Industry 4.0 solution that perfectly met the client's requirements. In a planning period of three months, these requirements were defined in detail and the optimal device configuration was determined. The hardware and software solutions were implemented on-site by two service technicians from the Bizerba partner within two days. The metal detection coil is incorporated in the checkweigher. The Bizerba industrial software BRAIN2 ensures data transparency and easy traceability with the appropriate software modules. The FPV and BRC requirements are met.
