Tips for your virtual job interview

Balingen, Allemagne, 23.09.2024

| Our colleagues from the Recruiting Center are sharing their tips for your virtual job interview today. What should you keep in mind during a virtual interview, and how can you best prepare for it?

Your path to the job interview

After you have found a suitable position and submitted your application documents through our career portal, you have already successfully completed the first step.

If your application meets the requirements of the advertised position, we will invite you to an initial interview.

This will take place digitally via Microsoft Teams. Since not everyone is familiar with this platform, we would like to give you six tips for a virtual job interview today.

Our tips

1  Preparation
Prepare as if you were going to an in-person interview. Summarize key points from your resume, research our company in advance, and think about which questions are relevant to you.

2  Environment
Choose a space where you feel comfortable. Pick a quiet location with a neutral background, good lighting, and a comfortable seat.

3  Technology
Ensure that your internet connection is stable, your camera is properly set up, and your microphone works. It's best to test the link to the virtual interview in advance.

4  Dress code
Dress as you would for an in-person interview. This not only leaves a positive impression but also boosts your self-confidence.

5  Punctuality
Be online at the agreed time. This shows your interest and professionalism.

6  Stay calm
It can always happen that technical problems arise at the last minute. Don’t panic – you can reach us via the phone number provided in the email. We also have your contact details from your application, which we can use in case of an emergency.
