Some defects can be ruled out by simply weighing with a dynamic checkweigher– such as missing components in packages with non-food products or underfilled food packages leaving production. Where food is concerned, this means contamination, damaged packaging or missing or illegible labels, which represent a serious risk – not only to the manufacturer's image and sales, but also to the health of end consumers. Such quality issues can be reliably identified with suitable inspection systems.
