Inspecting

Prevent recalls

Automatically prevent distribution of faulty products

Check & inspect

Overfilled or under-filled containers, damaged packaging, visibly faulty products, foreign bodies, inadequate or incorrect labelling: these are all risks that are readily minimised by Bizerba inspection systems - without reducing product throughput.

Prevent issues via constant checking

Product recalls are a disaster; they result in a loss of reputation with recipients and end customers, a great deal of expense and high costs are just two of the consequences. Depending on the industry and the product, random samples may not be a reliable enough method to prevent such disasters from ever occurring. In addition, the risks are so varied, that manual inspections may also require a great deal of additional expense. Automated Bizerba inspection solutions ensure consistent quality of products and packaging, one item at a time. Flaws are reliably spotted and affected, products are automatically discarded by separating systems.

Areas of use

Only top quality leaves the premises

Some flaws can be ruled out by simply weighing with a dynamic checkweigher– such as components missing in packages with non-food products or that under-filled food packages leave the production unit. With food, this means contamination, damaged packaging or missing or illegible labels represent a serious risk – not just for the manufacturer's image and sales, but also for the health of end consumers. Such quality issues can be reliably recognised by suitable inspection systems.

Checking & inspecting in top form

Continuous scales

Dynamic checkweighers
Improve product safety and efficiency with networked dynamic checkweighers. Bizerba checkweighers provide accurate weighing results and satisfy the most demanding hygiene requirements.

Metal detectors

Metal detectors from Bizerba quickly and reliably identify all ferrous and non-ferrous metals in packed and unpacked unit goods. Separating systems reliably remove contaminated items.

X-ray inspection systems

X-ray technology can be used to detect non-ferrous contaminants in a packed product. Glass, plastic or even bone parts are reliably detected due to their different densities, and the contaminated packages are removed.

Vision inspection systems

Vision inspection systems see more: seals that aren't tight, damaged packaging, discoloured or deformed products, incorrectly applied or missing labels – these and other faults can also be reliably detected via an appropriate visual inspection.
